Absolutely disgusting behavior. I am shocked that this is a hospital. They take their absolute time while horsing around. I have had way better experience with NYU Langone and Mount Sinai, I am so upset they made me walk home, suggested me to walk home in my condition in this heat. Waited for 4 hours for nothing but advice. Stay the hell away from this place, make this the LAST resort. I stormed out and will NEVER STEP foot in this place again. The negative reviews are true. Came evening/ morning 5/6/25. The AM team- DR. Tolulope Olupona and the young white guy working under her was amazing. The only staff in the entire building to treat me with kindness, humility, grace, empathy and compassion. The rest of them- what a hell hole. I went in involuntarily after a major psychiatric episode- by the time I was arrived at the hospital I was sitting calmly, neutralised and ready for the next steps. On behalf of a friend. The E,R, for psych is disgraceful, human waste on the floor. The unit upstairs is sanitary. The activities they offer are few and not well announced so you can miss a group you want. Patients are watched every single second, even in the visitors room where you want privacy. Watchdogs. It seems to me that no one is encouraging the ones who need it to try getting out of bed a bit and socializing.
