Came evening/ morning 5/6/25. The AM team- DR. Tolulope Olupona and the young white guy working under her was amazing. The only staff in the entire building to treat me with kindness, humility, grace, empathy and compassion. The rest of them- what a hell hole. I went in involuntarily after a major psychiatric episode- by the time I was arrived at the hospital I was sitting calmly, neutralised and ready for the next steps. On behalf of a friend. The E,R, for psych is disgraceful, human waste on the floor. The unit upstairs is sanitary. The activities they offer are few and not well announced so you can miss a group you want. Patients are watched every single second, even in the visitors room where you want privacy. Watchdogs. It seems to me that no one is encouraging the ones who need it to try getting out of bed a bit and socializing. Many things are not allowed to be given to patients- pens, soap superior to hospital soap, dental floss, shoe... read more

Working at a family shelter I needed to find inpatient services for a Client. The staff member who answered the phone was very helpful and stated that even though there are no beds currently at Interfaith for inpatient psychiatry there she provided three other hospital names that she is aware of. I really appreciated her assitance.
