I've been in a lot of music stores to support my musician habits, and as a music educator. Without a doubt, IMC is the best place to get whatever you need musically!
Rude staff, awful customer service skills along with over priced instruments for such low quality. Never shop here y'all.
We have visited and worked with both IMC locations to rent and ultimately buy string instruments for each of our four kids as they made their way up through the ranks of public school music programs. Even after moving to the Phoenix area, we always find our way back down to Tucson and IMC for our music needs. The staff is knowledgeable, supportive, and always there to help us make the best decision we can for the musical stage our kids are in.
This is the only store in Tucson where you can be sure that you are getting quality music gear, instruments and lots and lots of help available--whether you're a newbie to music making or a seasoned pro. I think their staff is amazing--super friendly and the store is incredibly clean and organized.
I have had the pleasure of doing business with Mike and Leslie, and their phenomenal staff, for years. I have found their entire organization to be trustworthy, honest and everyone there has gone out of their way to make us feel like part of the family. It is so refreshing to work with an independent retailer that goes out of their way to help a customer get exactly what they need. Simply put, they just “get it”. I can’t recommend IMC enough.
This is in regards to the Instrumental Music Center North in Tucson. Yesterday, I walked into the store to buy a new battery for my tuner. I also wanted to check out what instruments were available. I picked up a moderately priced (just under $60) tenor ukulele. I had enough money in my pocket to buy two of the one I was holding, and had half a mind to impulse buy it just because I could afford it. All the people working at the Speedway Center have been absolutely wonderful! We just received our new drum set after returning our rental set. We received the rental credit as advertised and couldn't be more pleased with the new set! Everyone went out of their to make sure we got the very best possible deal on the new drum set and made sure we knew how to set it up at home. We highly recommend that anyone needing any musical instruments, supplies, or lessons make the Instrumental Music Center they're first and only stop!
What a great store and staff. I'm in love with their ukulele selection. I can't believe it took me so long to stop in and I'm glad I did.
