Was dropped from their care after almost 2 years of Dr. Colmenero being my PCP. Wasn’t initially given a reason, but was told because I missed one appointment (which I was trying to reschedule that day they dropped me) and didn’t follow their controlled substance protocol. I was dropped from care. The Controlled substances is my medication, for ADHD that I had been without the proper dose for 5 days up to this point. I went to this doctor’s office on 12/31/24 for a standard annual physical and had standard labs done. I received a bill in the mail for the labs for over $300 even though it’s all covered by my insurance. I have spent months in contact with Quest Diagnostics, my insurance, and Inspire Health’s billing department to get this covered because my insurance reports it’s been coded incorrectly and the patient is not responsible. After following the directions to the office I ended up being 4min late, the suite number on ZD was off so I was driving around the parking looking. I signed in, then waited in the lobby and then the front desk told me that the doctor couldn’t see me because I was over the 5 min period,when I tell you that I walked in 45 sec before the grace period I’m serious. My husband, my son, and I all see Dr. Colmenero, and we absolutely love her. She's kind, patient, understanding, and sympathetic. As a first-time mom, I know I probably overreact about some things, but she's never once been condescending. She validates my feelings and encourages me to reach out with any additional questions or concerns. I haven't felt this comfortable with a PCP in a long time.
