He did show up on time, to the minute, so that’s a positive. He’s also a pleasant guy, if talkative. However, if you want someone who will give a realistic assessment of your home’s issues, and be conscientious of your time and the condition of your home, you need to find someone else. The job of an inspector is to point out flaws in a home, and in some senses, is just kabuki, “one of those things you have to do to sell a house”. I’ve met some really good inspectors in my time who gave some really good advice about what’s ac... read more

Every single time I have someone come to do work on the house they find things that the inspector overlooked. A shoddy roof job that leaks and $10,000 of electric work that won't pass inspection and is a HUGE fire hazard that he didn't "find".

Great guy who goes into every attic, on the roofs and into the crawlspace. He saved us by finding a missing structural piece replaced by a column of concrete blocks resting on dirt (!) on one house we were considering. Go with him and you will see a lot. He does talk a lot. He picks on everything a lot of which you may be OK with. But that is how I want my home inspections done - *I* choose what to ignore or not.
