I was referred here by a friend just to start a new happy healthy journey in life. I have never done anything like therapy before, very new to this situation. Well when I walked in front desk just stared at me no greetings or anything. I said hello twice before getting a very mumbled response that I barely could hear and couldn’t even understand! I would try a different place. They don’t return calls, with in any time frame you happen to miss two visits due to sickness or anything, they don’t reschedule unless they seek out permission from counselors. Dealing with front desk is ridiculous and still have not updated there staticky phones. I would think there here to help but seems to be the opposite.
Nowhere was taking new clients, but VFHC referred me here and they got me an appt for an eval. I really like the counselor i spoke with, and decided to go ahead with counseling. Will update after counseling sessions but I'm hopeful.
Update: I was contacted by Insight recently and the lady I talked with apologized profusely for my getting lost in the shuffle. We found a time that worked where I could do telehealth and I appreciate that as a very busy mom of 3. The lady I talked to said from now on they are asking people to call back monthly, I believe, to make sure they don't fall through the cracks. I know how hard it was for me to reach out for help and I don't think I would have continued to call monthly. Hopefully this area can get more mental health... read more
