Before the surgery I couldn’t walk stand up or even stand still without leaning on stuff to ease my pain. I went to see Dr. Elakil who did a lumbar fusion on me and I feel complete pain free and I can walk long distance and I can finally sleep. Dr. Elakil gave me my life back and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! Thank you!
I was in Terrible pain prior to seeing the amazing neurological surgeons office of Dr Elakil. They listened and helped with my issue including my spinal surgery. I was very nervous but the reassurance that the team gave, the skill and amazing bedside manner was very reassuring. I feel great now although I am still in recovery I am really glad that I decided to go with this team of great people. I highly recommend that if you have spinal issues to visit this surgeon.
I initially met Dr. Ataya after hospitalization for a stroke at Insight Hospital, the former Mercy Hospital. The care and concern that I received throughout my visit at the hospital by Dr. Ataya and his colleagues was nothing short of amazing. My mom was in real bad shape. She couldn’t move or walk and if she did barely. She came to see Dr. Elakil and he came off very knowledgeable and made me feel seen and explained everything to me. He did a lumbar fusion surgery on her and after that my mom was walking, seemed like she got her life back. Thank you Dr. Elakil and his team for healing my mother and I would recommend anyone to come see him and his team
