Avoid Dr. Sun. I’ve gone to this practice for years and the only reason I’m not giving it one star is because of Drs Kumar and Holmberg. Dr. Sun is the most unprofessional and inexperienced healthcare provider I’ve ever witnessed. First of all, I waited for her for so long to show up to my appointment that the lights went out on me. This practice is criminally underrated on Google reviews. I switched here so I could deliver at Inova Fairfax from another local OBGYN practice and it was sooo much better. A lot of these reviewers may just have unrealistic expectations for a group practice vs having an individual doctor. As someone who has received care elsewhere, here is better. My wife and I had a very similar experience as the previous reviewer John Jackson, if not worse. My wife went in for a checkup a week before our daughter was due and told the doctor that she was leaking a lot of fluid. The doctor dismissed it as nothing and sent us home. 2 more weeks went by with regular checkups and the doctor continued to dismiss it. Finally, after 2 weeks, they finally tested her and discovered she had a high slow leak of amniotic fluid and told us we needed to go to the hospital immediately for emergency... read more
Came 15mins early happy for my appointment for them to say oh by the way your insurance is invalid!! If I knew this a week ago I would have tried to be more prepared! Cancelled appointment will take my service elsewhere!
What started off as a great experience with this practice unfortunately turned into a nightmare. My wife ended up in the hospital for five days for the birth, and not a single person from the practice came to check on her during that entire time. We knew her primary doctor, Dr. Kumar, might not be the one delivering since they rotate, no issue there.
