RecommendedI was a patient from 9/30-10/5 on the Joint Replacement Floor. I received excellent care from everyone; RN’s, Tech’s, Therapists, Food Service; Housekeeping. Two of my favorite techs were Sadatu and Mary. We would joke around and they were SOOOO kind to me. They were very patient and told me to take my time. RecommendedExcellent patient care! Doctors are knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, ethical and heart warming. My whole family has gone there many years. Sometimes the wait is long but it is well worth it. They take the time to listen and not rushing you out the door. I can’t say enough about this practice. Thank God there are still doctors let like them! Highly Recommend 5 stars
Unless it is life or death, go to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. I've had nothing be extremely bad experiences here. No one communicates. No one follows up. Nurses and doctors in the ER are clueless. It is a culture issue that starts with the top at the corporate level. I've had issues at Mount Vernon and Alexandria. Billing is incompetent. And their patent relations department is downright nasty.
I was just sent an email and had a follow up conversation that this office is essentially ABANDONING patient care in the midst of a public health crisis. They will see you for a "virtual" visit, but if you need to truly be seen (swabbed for strep, maybe have an ear infection) their advice was to go to the ER...which is the last place I want to be right now. Truly sad. Even my children's pediatrician's office has changed the way they run their office, but they are still treating their patients.
Recommendedthe food is good and the nurses and nurse techs are helpful and friendly. also the pt text are the same. this is my second knee re0 placement a year ago And I came back. that says it all.

Inova Mt Vernon is a great hospital.
The Blue Lobby Operating Room Volunteer at the information desk (lady with long white hair) is awesome! We loved her sense of humor and she made me and my family feel right at home. I feel ashamed that I didn't get her name, but she was as sweet as she could be. She was very helpful and her smile was very welcoming. She's a keeper and deserves an award. She made my trip from Delaware worth the visit. Oh and the surgeon Macasey (?) wasn't half bad either. Lol! Well Done INOVA!
Truly a community hospital in every way. Has always been a friendly environment with outstanding employees.
