This practice deserves more than 5 stars. The midwives cared for me during my third pregnancy, and I’m genuinely sad I didn’t use them for my first 2. Each provider I met was kind and supportive. I was never rushed through the appointment, and each midwife took their time answering my questions during appointments. A special shout out to Jamie, who was on shift when I delivered my baby. This is my third child and it was by far the best prenatal care and labor experience I could have asked for. I felt like all of the care I received was evidence-based and specific to my needs as opposed to the one size fits all "standard of care" that you face with a lot of OBGYN offices. I met with all of the midwives in the office but chose to see Jessica and Jamie exclusively later in my pregnancy because of personality preferences. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my first, and I have had a wonderful experience here so far. I started at Capital Women’s Care - Division 43, but I wasn’t happy with my care there. CWC blew my vein each time they drew my blood (and I have VERY visible veins and have never had this happen), wouldn’t ever answer the phone, were 1hr+ late to my scheduled appointments, and some of the OBGYNs were egotistical, talked down to me, and dismissive of guidance I had received from other doctors and specialists. The front desk should absolutely be fired. Asks personal questions, makes patients uncomfortable, cuts ultrasound pictures and harasses patients. None of my friends were happy with her and hence why they won’t return. Midwife assistant also seemed weird to my friend - stared blankly at her while midwife spoke and made it difficult for her to focus. Neither of my friend are willing to return until front desk has been fired.
I met with Lauren Linden and Johanna V, a midwife in training. Johanna V was kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Lauren only entered the room for about 5 minutes and left. Her short visit was very distasteful and I left the interaction with Lauren feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously, and that bias may have influenced how my symptoms and care options were handled.
