Is this even a real Inova location? They act like they're some kind of low rent franchise with their own rules. They apparently don't know how to use MyChart and require you to bring your physical insurance card for every visit, then act as if you're completely stupid for not having it, despite the fact that you already have checked in online and verified a photo of the front and back of your insurance card. On time, friendly and efficient staff, short wait times, walk in welcome.
Horrible experience. Please avoid this location. Nurse/phlebotomist said they didn’t have a blood pressure monitor, that their reclining chair was broken, and that I had to get up and leave before I was recovered from a vasovagal episode. The phlebotomist said, and I quote: “if you can’t handle this, how do you plan to have kids?” And looked at my partner for approval when I said I wasn’t thinking about kids at the moment. Incredibly unprofessional.
Avoid. Not as professional as the previous lab near Dunn Loring. Not very clean and courteous. Mixed up the order, put someone else’s name instead of mine despite checking ID. It was scary to have someone else’s paperwork, I wonder whether they would even bill them if I hadn’t noticed. unbelievable mistakes. INOVA quality is going down now that they just sub - contract to everyone.
Bonita was the phlebotomist, and by far superior to any other past experience in 25 years! she did it record time, and zero discomfort. I hope every time I need blood drawn I am able to ask for Bonita. simply the BEST.
