I do not recommend this hospital or Dr. Freeman’s office. Problem #1. When my son was 2 days old they messed up his circumcision and had to stitch him up. They had to wait until he was 2 years old to have it done at which I just said I’d wait until he’s older and he can decide. But we went to an appointment with the urologist and he HAS to have it done because he said the way Dr. Bright stitched him up, his pee hole is closing. This was my second time coming to the Ashburn HealthPlex Emergency Room for a known issue (extreme abdominal pain from multiple ovarian cysts). The first time I was seen to and cared for expertly by the doctor and was looking forward to the same meticulous care. Warning to unsuspecting patients - inquire about the price, if you can, before committing to any service from here. They charged $463 for an X-ray that is priced at approx. $77 at multiple other imaging facilities in the area - nearly 500% more than the prevailing market rate. And, it wasn't even an emergency room visit. My Inova PCP suggested this location, but neither them nor the imaging center apprised me about the exorbitant over-pricing. Took my 19 year old there who was having severe abdominal pain. They we where there for 5 hours. She told them she was a 9 on the pain chart. They gave her nothing. She ask for something to drink and they told me where to get it. When they did do the test they said she had a ovarian cyst that broke. They gave her morphine and sent her 15 mins later. She later had to be taken to Reston Hospital where she had emergency surgery and could have died. �
EDIT: Below was my experience the Friday before New Years. I'm editing my comments now because of how the hospital responded this this. I got a call from Doctor Denise Bernier and Margaret with Patient Relations. They were very apologetic and very concerned and were very appreciative that I shared this information so that they can better educate their staff. They even took care of the bill for me.
