Voluntarily admitted myself due to intrusive thoughts and passive suicidal thoughts I believed were genuine suicidal ideation. Staff did not believe me when I told them I wasn't suicidal. I kept asking for something to write with because I was having a panic attack and was too stressed from the previous night in the ER to give verbal answers. During my first meeting with the doctor, he told me they wouldn't give me anything to write with because I needed to tell him what was going on with my words. Doctor also told me one of... read more

I just got out of there and it definitely helped. They do need more activities and therapists during the day but overall it wasn't that bad. The techs were nice, nurses were iffy. Amanda the night nurse was my favorite. My Dr. Was great and friendly and the food was OK for hospital food.

My son has unjustly involuntary commitment to Mount Vernon Behavioral Health Unit. Therefore his human rights have been suppressed. An appeal was filed to stop any further unjustly prescription of any further medication. The communication with psychiatrist and staff is almost inexistent. I am the mother, I talked to Dr. Rachel Bronsther and communicated to her that my son adversely react to antipsychotics, which make him very aggressive and violent to himself few days after he was admitted, and the only time. Despite, filing... read more
