I’m not usually someone who complains about other people’s work or dedication, but I came here last minute after checking for the highest-rated salons in the Salem area (which aren’t many). I appreciated that they were able to fit us in, but overall the experience was disappointing. We arrived around 11:30am and waited over an hour, even though I had called ahead and was told they had time for two people. This place is awesome! Everyone is sooo friendly I felt like home here. The environment is welcoming and clean!! Would definitely come back here again!
Last year I came in for a gel mani and got talked into dip. The girl did way too many layers and it looked awful. The owner, Twee, offered to fix it for me. Twee did a good job fixing it so I decided to give this place another chance. Fast forward to this past weekend. I went in for a gel mani. The woman didn't understand me and kept trying to do dip and I had to keep telling her no, I want gel. I asked for rounded nails and she did square. Today, I had probably the worst experience at Innovation. I love this place and the staff are usually friendly but I had CeeCee who was rushing and kept cussing. I gave an inspo picture and it was barely executed. My thumb nails are different shapes and sizes. I did not get any cuticle oil or a hand massage at the end. For $60 plus a tip, I am very upset. My nails were a birthday present and they feel and look uneven. She kept jabbing me with the tools. I don’t typically leave reviews but my thumbs feel off and im sad.
If I could give this places negative stars I would. I got a manicure and an hour after leaving my thumbs chipped. I let them know and after not hearing from them I got my nails redone better elsewhere. They responded 2 days later asking me to come in to fix. I explained that I did not want to come back so I asked for a refund. After a little back and forth they agreed so I went in for a refund.
