I applied to InnovAge despite reading numerous negative reviews on Indeed. I just assumed that the reviews were by disgruntled ex-staff members and took the risk. After what I thought was a decent interview, the program director, the MD leading the interview, and the recruiter all stated that they would call me with additional questions and/or updates. None of them contacted me, and the recruiter went as far as promising to reach out to me two additional times after I emailed her, and she just never called back. After about ... read more

Too bad you have to actually put a 1 star because Innovage does not deserve the 1. The Peninsula location is TERRIBLE. I will plead with anyone.... DON'T PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN THIS PROGRAM!!!! The participants don't get the care they need, they won't get anything but Tylenol for pain, and their death rate is ridiculous. They are so understaffed on a daily basis in all divisions (drivers, home care, inner building staff) it is amazing that any of the participants get taken care of. Pace deserves no stars! As my sister’s durable POA I was never contacted by the staff responsible for her care. I was locked out of her care! She supposedly qualified for the program in August 2019; within a month she was disqualified; someone from the Roanoke InnovAge location sent in an appeal which, after 5 months, was denied. A candidate must be screened for a skilled nursing facility and my sister is perfectly appropriate for an assisted living facility where she has lived for 25 years. InnovAge absolutely did not deliver what they said they would. We needed someone to prepare meals only for my mother-in-law after we brought her home from a rehab center. She has dementia. WE asked for 24 hr care. They promised qualified, experineced care givers with consistency, the same people would come. The only thing consistent was the low level of experience, lack of cooking skills, and number of people coming. My Mom has lymphoma and dementia. I am the only one left as family for her. I do what I can to try to make sure she has a home and good care and good housing. Quality. Unfortunately, they lack communication with outside sources and family. Their turnover rate is ridiculous. Their ratio to patio is understaffed. I go and always can find three people at the clinic front desk jabbering about whatever other than acknowledging the patients waiting. When I call to find out status...they ask me if she checked in...she has dementia ... read more
