My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at UAB in Birmingham Al . We were told he only had 2 to 3 months to live .. then our general practitioner wanted to put him on hospice . He wanted to fight so none of this was an option.We were given no options so we decided to seek a second opinion. Vanderbilt was our choice. The staff at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center are too notch! They roll out the red carpet for my 6 year old son Marcus every single visit!! They also take care of me too and are so warm and thoughtful, if you have to go through cancer with your child at least you will be treated well here!!

We were referred here and was told my 18 year old son would receive good care. No one ever wants to receive this diagnosis for your child however the staff has gone above and beyond. Dr. Ancell has the best bedside presence we have experienced during this journey. She is both professional and invested in making sure our son receives the best care. I have had 2 lung surgeries at Vanderbilt since 2014, the last being Jule 12, 2018. Both performed by Dr Eric Grogan. I have never been around a more professional or friendly staff, even security and parking attendants. I cannot say enough about the people at Vanderbilt. Thank you all of you.
