The staff was very rude. They made a big deal when I asked to be seated closer to the window because I was only one person and the table was for 4. Yet there were lots of empty tables everywhere ..
The Lasooni Gobhi is the best appetizer on the menu!
There's lots of vegetarian options on the wkd lunch buffets. It's always delicious. I've now also enjoyed dinner off the menu. Vegetarian jalfreezi was excellent! It's mild though, so add some heat.
Lamb Vindaloo is exceptional (spicy, but perfectly balanced with a bit of yogurt sauce and nan).
The cauliflower appetizer is amazing!!!!
The chicken tika-masala is to die for.
Beautiful decor and atmosphere, from the water cups to table settings and bar. This is my go-to spot for Indian food on the upper west side.
Never order a take-out delivery from this restaurant! In a nutshell, I ordered food at 7:15 and it arrived at 8:55, somewhat cold, I called the restaurant 3 times and they did not think to give me as much as an apology. We have eaten at Indus Valley many times and have also done take out multiple time. The food is pretty decent, but by no means deserves 4 stars. We are fans of Indian food.
