The BEST Indian and Sri Lankan food in the Twin Cities! Having been to Southern Asia many times, I have experienced what true Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine is like, I have high expectations for Indian restaurants in the US. Agree the service is terrible I agree with the other review that said the service was the worst in town. My food was was not what I ordered, and I could not finish it. Worse still, my son's order was forgotten, even after reminders, and he was not served until the rest of our party of 6 had finished. The worst part, was the utter lack of regard for this poor service. Not one apology, and no credit on our bill. We won't be back.
Good food Like the other guy said, someone bought the old Indian restaurant and turned it into Sambol but I have to say the food has only improved. The buffet during lunch is great and everything is really good. Sambol even has Masala Dosa which is hard to find. Excellent taste!
Good food but bit costly As an indian iam always in a search for good indian restaurant and when i found this place just a couple of miles from my house we immediately went for a lunch buffet during weekday.Wow lots of items and most of them are very tasty and never a plate was empty in the buffet.They just kept n filling it at am amazing speed.I loved the dosas and the naan varieties very much and not to forget the gheer which really brings the smell of india. Delicious, flavorful, and good service My husband and I went to Sambol around 7 pm on a Tuesday night and found that the place was packed, but we were able to get a table and the waiter was helpful and the service was fine. We ordered the Chicken Makahani (Butter Chicken), Palak Chana (spinach and garbanzo beans), garlic naan, and carmel custard. The food was served quickly and was hot and delicious. Sambol is AWESOME!!! This is our FAVORITE restaurant in the Eagan area, hands down! Our three kids love it too, even the two-year-old. Whether you eat in our get take-out, the food is truly awesome. Try the Malai Kofta, or Nav Rattan Korma - our kids love both of those (we get it mild for them). Don't forget to order some Naan (Indian bread); you can get it plain or get flavors such as garlic or Aloo Naan, which is stuffed with delicious potatoes that have a little kick. This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants to eat at. Centrally located and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
We love Bay Leaf and have been doing a lot of take out during quarantine. The food is always delicious and warm! Recommend anything on the menu!
