The food was great and authentic. There was great diwali atmosphere in the restaurant.
Upon arrival we were seated promptly and brought poppadoms and water. We then waited a while for our order to be taken and once this arrived they came separately. Not a great start to a meal. The chicken korma I had came with chicken on the bone which was a bit of a surprise. Generally the restaurant is nice but service is slow and the food was average.
Whenever I come to Chicago I always visit this place for dinner. The food is authentic and not at all indian standard food abroad, great quality and choices. Order the masala lemonade - thank you Varun for making me try that, makes me feel like I am back in India. Varun is an amazing host, always happy to meet you when I am coming to the Indian Garden. See you soon!
Good place for Indian food
Food was good. But the service is terrible. Had to keep calling the waiter for basic service. The waiters abandon the diners and we have to chase after them for the food order, water, and the check.
RecommendedThis is my go-to spot for their fantastic lunch buffet. The food is amazing and fresh. You have to know to look for this location though, since it is not on the street level, and there are two long flights of stairs at the entry.

Buffet had great options. If you cant handle spicy, ask. Most options had spice and some not for the faint hearted. Dessert options could have been more.
