Dal Tadka did not taste like Dal Tadka, dal(lentil particles) was grounded into almost paste and consistency was runny like Sambhar. But the Masala Dosa was worse, it had very little potato stuffing and the stuffing had cubed potatoes ( AFAIK it is supposed to be more like mashed). Unfortunately couldn’t eat dosa it had bad smell which seemed to be originating from the oil used flat cook it. The coconut chutney (side dip) has strong raw garlic smell. Did not eat it. We've had mixed experiences with this establishment over the 2.5 years we have been going-more negative than positive though based on my latest and likely last review of Indian Flavors. We loved V3 and were open to Indian Flavors even chatting with the current owners on occasion when they first took over. Food quality has varied since-sometimes great, sometimes way too spicy, sometimes the sauces are too thin, sometimes the food is just flavorless, in general lots of inconsistencies. I was nervous when I went in at 1500 and the restaurant was completely empty thinking this is a bad sign. But I had a pretty good meal of butter masala with lamb and garlic naan. I had it medium spicy and it was plenty warm. I feel the restaurant could polish its appearance a little and finish their bar in the corner of the room and remove some TV's. It felt like a mix mash of restaurants (from the furniture) and dive bar. Otherwise it was a good meal and that's key.
