Las Vegas Best Indian Food – My wife and I were introduced to Indian food by a neighbor now friend. They had spent several years in London and found the Indian food much better than local food. We started trying various Indian restaurants. We eventually found India Oven and we stopped looking. We have been weekly regulars for about five years and have never been disappointed. In our view and those guests we have repeatedly taken are pleased with the food and service. My favorite, the Chicken TIKA Masala is excellent and they... read more

Pathetic food yet very expensive – I am an Indian and a food lover. I have lived all around in India and have a good sense of how various indian cuisine is supposed to taste. This restaurant is a total rip-off. I visited this restaurant in last-week Nov 2009. They do not even know how to make a daal (lentil soup) - which is one of easiest thing to make. I am no cook and I can make better daal than them. Everything is very very expensive and yet taste pathetic (not even close to how Indian food is supposed to taste). Stay awa... read more

Sick – Very very sick after eating here. Second time. I finally spoke to the owner about it a few days later and he not only refused to apologize but told me he has plenty of customers and he doesn't need me!! Whew. What a place. I think they use pesticides to marinate their tandoori chicken.

Great Indian Food – The Reviews here are from a long way back. I visited the India Oven recently. I found the service to be excellent & the food very good. We ordered off the menu & it all tasted like it was supposed too! (unlike India Palace!) I certainly will be going back there for my Indian meals. Everything is reasonably priced.

Poor Value, plus Hostile Signs Everywhere – You must be kidding. Value?? $4.50 for a garlic naan! $3 for an ordinary naan (sorry, 5 cents less than $3). A simple Daal (lentils) for $13! And they do not even provide complementary rice with the entrees, that go as high as $25 for lamp chop masala (simply "mince meat" or "kheema" in most places)! And what is with those hostile signs so typical of some Indian businesses --- "We reserve the right to refuse Service to Anyone" "No shirt, no shoes, no Service." That is always your r... read more

Reheated frozen food and unprofessionasl behavior to boot – We waited 40 minutes to be seated --- and that is actually a good sign that the place is popular. We ordered food and waited with keen anticipation. The Paneer Pakoras arrived --- 5-6 pieces in all. OK. My wife and I grabbed a piece each and put our teeth into it. It was well-spiced and warm outside --- but inside it was hard and stone-cold. They clearly prepare their food ages ago, even pakoras (appetizers!), store it in the freezer and reheat it on being ordered b... read more

Get your Nan on – This is one of the best Indian reasaurants in the valley. They have been around for a long time and the place is run by a real nice Indian family. The nan is some of the best around. Sauces are not as Americanized as a lot of other Indian places in Vegas. The spinach and lamb dish is always wonderful. Though I am not usually a fan of buffets, this one (lunch only) is an execption....really good. For you tourists out there, this place is just east of the Strip on the corner of Paradice and Sahara.

Authentic! – Each time I go to India Oven the food gets better and better. Service is a little slow but the food is what I go for.

The bland exterior hides spicy concoctions inside. – In Short Located one block west of the Strip in the Enchanted Village shopping center, India Oven looks plain from the outside. But inside diners are greeted with sparkling white walls and minimalist decor. The menu is typical Indian fare, with curries and tandoori meats dominating, along with lots of vegetarian selections. Standouts include chicken korma, vegetable korma and the spicy eggplant dish, each with dense flavors and large portion sizes.
