We purchased a rebuilt long block from Jim, trading another engine core, and brought it home to find end play was 18 thousandths (should be 3-6 thousandths). Tried to reset it, to find the rear main thrust bearing was loose in the case. This shows he never actually rebuilt the engine. We gave him a second shot, took the engine back down for another rebuild. This time when we got it home, the engine would not idle.
