After several headaches and crazy fees we are done now and forevermore with Independent. Except to warn all that we can not to use this bank. I will be going to the car dealer we used and warn them of the experience we had with this bank and what it could do to their business if they continue to use them. I don't recommend anyone use this bank.
I cannot believe it is U.S.A. in 2018. We moved out of Memphis and decided not to close Independent bank. However, I was told I could not do wire transfer online or over the phone. We have to drive back to Memphis in person to do wire transfer and if I decide to withdraw money from Independent bank to my other bank accounts, the check will be hold for 11 days to clear.
You guys sure got a lot of CYA going on in the auto loan dept over there...
Worst bank I have ever dealt with. Never. Ever. Again.
I totally agree with everyone about this bank being the worse. You are still charged a $1 convenience fee even when you pay your payment 18 days before due date! I am paying my loan off early so I won't have to deal with this bank anymore!
This is absolutely the worst bank I have ever dealt with. If someone offers you you a car loan from this bank, RUN LIKE HELL! This bank obviously uses deceptive business practices and totally ignores any request for information.
This is one of the worst business’s I have Had the displeasure of dealing with. If you lose your coupon book they will refuse to send you a new one, then you have to make payments over the phone which cost $50.00 to do. If you switch your Auto insurance policy they will claim that you didn’t send them the new policy( even if you did twice), so they can buy an outrageously priced policy, add that fee to your loan, and charge you a $299 NON REFUNDFABLE administrative fee, which they also add to your loan. Cost $15 dollars to make an online payment or by phone, ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER HAD... I can’t even believe I have to deal with these people! I am Refinancing the truck I just purchased to get away from this terrible company, I was talked to like an idiot and treated like a major inconvenience!
