Most worthless bank I have ever dealt with. Charged me for insurance for every year of the note even though I had insurance well above what was needed. The bike was a total loss. My insurance covered it. Sent them the exact amount they said pay off was. Now they want to say my principal balance is 1$ and some “miscellaneous” charges. I hope this bank goes under along with all the employees of it as well. Much more than just worthless.
Charged me for insurance for months, when I was never without. Cannot get a manager to call me back, when rep after rep insists they will convey the message. If not resolved by end of the week, I’ll have a real bank finance my truck.
We've had a car loan with them for over 3 years, and they have been great! Low interest, easy to make payments (I either mail or do a bank pay) and their web skip around the holidays is nice for some extra money around the holidays.
I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with Independent Bank. With the exception of Liz who is a teller at the Poplar/Holmes branch, I will not deal with any of the other employees anymore. They screwed up accounts even when they promised me things would be taken care of. The bank put an account on hold without bothering to tell me!! If it had not been for Ms Cox at the 5050 Poplar branch I would have closed my accounts this morning. Her and Liz are a real asset to the bank. We have a car loan with them and they are charging $15 a month to make online payments. What business actually does this in the 21st century!?!? We will be looking to refinance our loan with another bank that uses common sense and decent business practices.
This is absolutely the worst bank to deal with. No communication from them. They claimed they never got our truck payment then put it into repossession with the only option being to pay the payoff of over $28000. Steer clear of this bank and all it's services!
This bank has been fantastic with my auto loan. Thank you!
