Our son was diagnosed with moderate to severe speech and motor oral delays. People other than us, his parents, could barely understand him. He was almost 5 and would be starting kinder the following year. We just wanted him to be mostly undertood by most people, be better at chewing, and be middle of the road average for the average kindergartner by the time he started school the following fall. Emily worked with our 4 year old son for several months on his speech & was very thorough and communicative throughout. We love that she took the time to evaluate all aspects of our son’s speech and took a multi-pronged approach to helping him. She also gave us plenty of tools needed to work on his speech at home! Would definitely recommend her services!
I cannot put into words how amazing Emily is at what she does. She is not a one size fits all therapist. She sees the whole picture and I looked forward to our weekly sessions with my infant son - not only because we were seeing progress, but because she really listened to my concerns and wanted my input. My son has been treated by Emily and Heather for almost the last year. My son started at 1-2 word strings max. And now I have a fully expressive, brilliant, conversations with my son. The amount of progress my son had made was HUGELY attributable to their practice.
