We have been going to Inatome for over 20 years, never disappointed. Yes sometimes you have to wait but having reservations is a big plus if you want to be seated faster. The food is fresh and consistent. The owner and staff are kind and polite. We were there for my birthday yesterday and the cooktop wasn't hot and it was going to take about 10 minutes to get hot, the owner couldn't have been more apologetic and bought a round of drinks for everyone at the table. I think the owner, Keiji Inatome, knows precisely why a "one in five star rating" has been accrued for his establishment in my review. Ironically, my brother, the man you were most reluctant to serve because he and his family arrived 10 minutes late for a reservation - due an horrific accident on the Southern State Parkway - , was a Chief of the Valley Stream Fire Department for four years.
