The gym is just OK. Friendly staff, clean, pretty good parking. Best to visit during prime time windows---secure free passes so you can really take it in (atmosphere/crowd, access to your wants, space, internet receptivity on machines, amenities) and potential challenges that might come with before committing. If passes are not provided, arrange to tour at a time in which the gym is busy (critical). You'll want to tour more than once. Don't think there's a cap on the number of memberships.
I'm a member in Sacramento. Vacationing in Napa. Wanted to work out after so much lovely food and wine. In Shape Napa refused me. Will be complaining to corporate office.
I just arrived for a tour and the free 3-day pass that the gym offers on its website, but the staff said they knew nothing about it. The costumer service was terrible with no information at all.
Been a member for a few years now and recently they've hired more cleaners and the gym has been cleaner than ever! Two dudes especially, the dude with the shoulder length curly hair and glasses and the tall dude with the backwards hat and mustache, are awesome and I constantly see them both proactively cleaning everything like pulling stairmaster machines and going in between crevices that had been long neglected. The urinals are still a disaster, though. Pretty happy with the changes.
