Nice place This is a good place to go and take the family ice skating. It is a nice newer facility with a good rink. I've had fun skating there with various groups. Rental and admission isnt too bad but the food is a little expensive however that can be expected. They also have a hockey team the plays on the other rink.
Family Ice Skating year round There are several things you can do at this Ice Arena. There is Public skating, figure skating, hockey leagues, skating lessons, parties (private and business). Home of our own hockey team Chrome Horse Saloon. There is a Pro shop. Plus some video games to pass the time. Plus the normal concessions are available as well. Tickets to games are reasonable and it is fun to attend a hockey game! Exciting and fast moving.
Great place to skate or watch a game! The Ice Arena Cedar Rapids is a very fun place to spend an evening. Whether watching a hockey game, enjoying open skate, playing video games or visitig the pro shop, there is always something going on. The open skate is rarely very crowded and they have good quality skates if you need to rent. The Rough Riders hockey team is always a good choice. The tickets are inexpensive and the crowd really gets into the games to make it a very fun evening.
Wonderful! The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena (CRIA) opened January 8, 2000. The facility was built with public and private dollars and is owned by the City of Cedar Rapids. CRIA hosts two sheets of ice, a pro shop, party rooms and video games. The NHL rink is home to the USHL's Cedar Rapids Roughriders. The ice arena is a great addition to the community and is well used. There are a great many budding figure skaters who are very glad to not have to make the trip to Iowa City.
Family Skating The building is very nice and spacious. I didn't particularly care for it because it is so cold inside. But it really needs to be for the ice. I did enjoy watching the zamboni clear the ice. The children have fun during the public skate. Be sure to bring helmets for the kids incase of falls. PROS: free parking CONS:
