After living in Northern Thailand for 11 years, I gave up on trying to find good Thai food in the States. All of the popular spots were disappointing, sacrificing actual Thai flavors for overly sweet dishes or farang (foreign) flavors. Immm is one of the few restaurants that my wife and I have tried in the States that actually felt like a restaurant back in Thailand. This is the best Thai food in Chicago. If I was richer I would eat here everyday. What a delight!!
The most authentic and delicious Thai food I've ever had in Chicago. They do sit down as well as take out orders. Ordered 5 tasting bowls each with different dishes, and rice. It was the perfect amount of food for two people. The panang curry is a must. As is the mango sticky rice. Prices were more than reasonable. Immm has definitely become my favorite Thai restaurant.

When's the last time you walked out of a restaurant literally stunned at how good the food was? It doesn't happen very often, but it has for me repeatedly at IMMM. I long ago lowered my expectations of Thai food in the U.S.A. Americanized. Bland. Wrong Ingredients. Not at IMMM. I'm so delighted to have Thai food this good in Uptown. My advice: don't let 'weird foods' hold you back: anything with pork blood is culinary ecstasy.
