I have to get Dexa Scans (DXA AXIAL skeleton) regularly due to osteoporosis. I called today and soonest appointment is December. This was not the first time, last scan had to wait six months.
Great experience - friendly staff and speedy process, especially as I went without an appointment.
This UPMC location is amazing. The facility is clean and easy to navigate. The staff are unbelievably friendly and explain every step of the tests - from my personal experiences over the past few months with womens imaging mammogram and ultrasound to the walk-in service I got for a lower lumbar x-ray, they are top notch. I never waited more than a few minutes, and I had the results on my UPMC app within 2 hours for all 3 tests. I highly recommend the UPMC Lemieux complex all-around! I have never had a good experience at this imaging location since the Lemieux center was built. Many women I know try to avoid going there. The Lemieux location is a hassle to get to if you live in the North Hills with a 40+ min drive one way. UPMC Passavant Imaging is closer BUT their calendar is never open. The lines and wait times in Cranberry are ridiculous. The offices are like grand central station and the experience is so industrial. My appointment is 8+ months out. Do not go here if you need medical attention. Walk in hours from 5-9pm. Daughter might have tore her ACL and they wouldn’t see her when got there at 8:45pm. We left from her game as soon as we could. Unprofessional.
