I’ve been coming to Ima regularly for about six months now, and I always order the exact same thing: the beef pho with extra beef and a fried egg. The food is consistently delicious, which is why I keep coming back. Unfortunately, my dine-in experience on Sunday, July 12 was by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. Today I had the udon salad with smoked salmon and it was delish! Honestly i have never been disappointed with anything here!
I got the spicy ahi tuna don and it was subpar at best. The rice was half cooked and really dry, so it was crunchy when you chew and the tuna was WAY too salty. I understand there was masago in the tuna but it should not be that salty, I would suggest adding less salt and soy sauce. The pickled ginger was alright. Small note, the scallions were not cut evenly and I had a large chunk in my bowl. I would not recommend the tuna bowl or the rice bowls because of this.
