Very grateful for Dr. Cohen's help and guidance with my mother who has been suffering from macular degeneration. His expertise, manner and patience are very much missed in today's medical care. Will be following with my aunt care based on his directions.
Had my bi-annual check-up appointment with Dr. Jack Cohen last week and he and his staff at the Libertyville office continue to do great work and treat their patients with respect, professionalism, and provide a relaxing environment. The office is extremely unhelpful. They made me wait 1 month before telling me "we can't see you." They refused to verify insurance info. They rejected my request of paying out of pocket. Utter disgrace for helping the blind and visually impaired. I called another office that LITERALLY scheduled me in 5 minutes.
I was referred to this office after a vision exam at a local eyewear shop. My first visit went okay. Initial screening and drops, wait for them to take effect (about 10-15 min) then a very quick visit with the doctor. Advised to come back in 2 months. I arrived for my appointment today and was seen promptly for the initial screening and drops. At this point I have been waiting at least 50 min for the doctor. Still waiting Very frustrating.
