Hi Melissa, We would have loved to help you and your husband more with this issue. Sadly, when we saw that you had exceeded the warranty guidelines by 1,500 miles the best we could do was direct you to Nissan Corporate where you can place an appeal for your shifter. Once you are covered and approved by Nissan we would replace the shifter. We would love to give you that information again so that you could call and start the process of this appeal, 1-800-NISSAN-1. We love our new vehicle, the Nissan Armada!!! Eric, Andy, Wes and the entire Illini Nissan team were excellent to work with and made our car buying experience a pleasurable one. I would recommend them for your car buying needs for sure!
BUYERS BEWARE!!! Nissans are built with the worst transmission ever!! My Sentra has 100,000 miles and in need of its THIRD transmission. They were sued with a class action suit and there is an active recall on this, yet their reps constantly give customers the run-around and are in constant damage control to limit the number of transmissions they replace. So unless you feel like replacing your transmission every 30,000 miles, at your cost, do not buy Nissan!
