Our company purchased a 2012 Kenworth T800 from Forge Trucks in IL. Once the unit arrived and we drove it 100 feet into our shop for an inspection. Our techs found both front and rear differentials with massive play in them and need replacement. Also found that the front springs are shot and need replacement. This all comes to a total of over $14,000 in parts alone! My customer (I'm a mechanic) bought a truck from Vince at Forge Truck Centers without looking at it first. He took Vince's word that the truck was in good condition. I have never seen a nicer truck in a worse selling condition as this one. Stay away from Vince and Forge Truck Centers.
Our company recently purchased a truck from Forge Truck Centers. If you aren’t going there in person to check the truck out-stay away. The salesman Vince assured us we were buying a truck that was ready to hit the road, but we had to spend well over $10k to get the truck to DOT specs. We don’t want you to get sucked in like we did. If you’re looking for a truck or a trustworthy salesman, look elsewhere!
