Not bad of a choice The food is pretty good. The patio dining is great on a warm day. The staff are all pretty nice, a little slow on the day we went there for lunch. Appetizers are a little pricey. Best to go there early to beat the lunch crowd.

Amazing Italian with Great Wine Selection If you love pasta and high end Italian food then this is the restaurant for you. Ask for recommendations on the wine selection. They have an amazing assortment of options.
They have some of the best brews in the city. I think that I have found the best coffee shop in the city to take your breaks in to. I am in love with their coffee.
We had dinner on their beautiful patio. Very romantic setting. Wonderful ambiance. Freshly made pasta! Both of our meals were great. Incredible dessert cart. The service was fantastic!
Excellent – When I travel, Il Fornaio is always one of my favorite restaurants. It's high end northern Italian food, with well prepared meats and sauces that are too complex for me to make for myself. My visit to the Irvine location did not disappoint. The food was excellent and while the prices are on the high end ($18 -$28 entrees), the total cost of the meal was reasonable for the high quality of the food. Service has been great the three times I've been to this location.

I have been to both the Irvine and Coronado locations and found that they have several things in common...great "authentic" food, service and a fantastic ambiance for business, family or special occasions. They have daily specials, monthly Italian regional menus and a great mix of creative cocktails to keep you coming back for more! If you're looking for a great dinning experience, this place is a must! Oh, did I mention the fresh baked bread they serve once you are seated?? Yumm!
