Very average & uninspired – After two visits to Il Fornaio we won't be back - there are too many other good restaurants in Seattle. While we were seated promptly both times, the wait for our food was unbearably long. Servers were almost nonexistant during the meal. Food is typical for a mall restaurant. Overpriced Mall Food – From start to finish, one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. Bland, overpriced seafood pasta ($20), tastless dessert, my drink tasted like kool-aid ...this is not Italian food. I could get a better meal from the frozen food section at QFC.
Don't go on Sunday – After seeing a show at the Paramount, we walked down to Pacific Place for dinner. We were looking forward to Italian food but were sadly disappointed. Our order was goofed up, one item was cold, and the bottle of wine arrived after the food (and a reminder). Dessert was the best part of the dining experience and the service was the worst. Great Food! – My family ate here for Easter and the food was amazing! Everything was fresh, hot and wonderful. The service was pretty slow considering they were only at 1/3 of capacity for Easter Sunday, but overall we had a great experience.
Horrible service/marginal food – My husband and I had lunch at Il Fornaio on New Year's Day and it was a dining disaster. The waitress was extremely rude; as if eating out on New's Day was a hassle for her. The appetizer was cold and not meant to be. The portabello salad I had was submerged in some kind of mushroom broth... Best in seattle – I go to Seattle every year and this is my favorite resturant i love the food I always wait till Augest to come. I can't beleive someone put it down
Amazing – I am simply in love with this place! The food is great and the service is the BEST in Seattle - no pretensions here at all. We arrived in sweats after a day of shopping and we were treated as well or better than the people dressed to the 9's (one of my biggest tests to be honest). When we are in Seattle, I insist on going here - you will pay as much for food anywhere in town but you will NOT get treated as well. Not the Best Italian Food – I live 3 blocks away from Il Fornaio and tried to find something tasty on the menu, but after three or four tries I've come to the conclusion that the food is just not appetizing.
Best Cosmo in town – Great ambiance, good food and the wood grill smells fabulous. Deserts are awesome, but the Cosmopolitans are the most outstanding. It's a bit pricey, expect to spend some cash!
