He was my PCP for at least 5 years until his narcissism among another issue which I will not yet elaborate on caused me to change doctors. I was truly disappointed at my decision to dismiss him as well as his decision to dismiss me as a patient based on one particular issue. Another issue with Dr. Leycegui is that even though he provides a patient portal one has to beg and then threaten with HIPPA to have access to the information in the Portal. If you do not have your appointments or blood work in the time frame as Dr. Leycegui wants you will get a letter discharging you as a patient. Even during the Covid 19 pandemic. My husband just had a telephone appointment with him and still got a letter as did I. I was once given a "physical" using an IPhone flashlight and sitting in a chair in his personal office.
Having been a patient of Dr.Iker Leycegui for the past five to six years, it would be hard to be treated by any other doctor. He is a very caring and professional individual . i am very satisfied with his care and his staff is so caring ,respectful and professional. You are always welcome and treated like family. I will keep Dr Leycegui as my doctor for as long as he stays in practice. God bless him, his family and his staff.
My wife and I have been patients of Dr L for about 3 years now and have never had a negative experience. He always takes his time and listens to all of our concerns. He is very thorough in his assessment and in providing testing results and feedback to us. We have never felt rushed during any of our appointments. I WAS a patient of Dr. Leycegui for several years. In Aug of 2019 I WALKED OUT on him. I brought a page of current concerns about my health as an update since I hadn't seen him in 6 months. He yelled at me and said there is no way I can deal with this list today! I didn't expect him to - it was a list to help bring him current on things we had talked about before and anything new. My husband, as well as myself, see Dr. Leycegui.....he is the best! Takes his time, answers any and all questions, schedules follow-up appointments to keep us on track! We have NEVER experienced any issues with his ladies EVER! They are always friendly, helpful and most accommodating to schedule appointments for follow-ups or for a sick visit. First off, we've never seen Dr. Leycegui. My husband recently move to PSL looking for a Dr. Called his office for an appt for his high blood pressure & front desk asked what insurance we had. We have United Healthcare. Front desk girl said the Dr was not "in network". So I called our insurance co to confirm. He is in network. My husband called back & was told, "in that case, you're a new patient,you have a 3-6 month waiting period til get an appt. Staff is very unprofessional!!!!!!
He is one of the best. I moved from Port St Lucie back to upstate NY in 2014 and now I'm going to move back. One of the main reasons is to get him back as my doctor. He is very knowlegable and has genuine real concern for his patients unlike what I'm experiencing up here in upstate NY.
