While visiting New York, my fiancé and I decided to take Junko’s ikebana class to learn a new style for arranging flowers. Even though our class was only an hour long, the information and guidance we received from Junko will stay with us for a lifetime. I had the best experience at Ikebana Flower! Junko is a great teacher and the sweetest person. You learn the history of various styles of Ikebana, spend time learning how to make your own arrangement (with Junko’s guidance), and bring something beautiful back to your home! I took Intro to Japanese Floral Design and then came back for Comprehensive Floral Foundations: Eastern and Western Flower Arrangement too.

Took the 2.5hr intro course and it was great! Junko was very knowledgeable and so nice! She brought a great warmth to the class and was very helpful with hands-on instruction. Would definitely recommend!

Had an amazing time learning about the history of ikebana with Junko-san! Our moribana class was very relaxing and she gave insightful pointers on our arrangements. Definitely recommend giving her a try and we’ll happily take another class in the future :)

From the moment we walked in and smelled the fresh greens and visually drank in the lovely flowers we’d be working with in the working ikebana studio, my shoulders went down and my friend and I started smiling. We had the best time with Junko! She gave us great basics and then let us all loose to feel our inner artists, with a little nudge here and encouragement there to help us along.
