I’m glad IKEA opened this Thousand Oaks location! It’s an 'Order and Pick-up' center where you can design furniture with the staff. The team is attentive and helpful—while appointments are recommended, they were happy to accommodate us as walk-ins. We spent about an hour designing a closet configuration, and the staff stayed patient throughout the process. We ordered on Saturday and everything arrived by Tuesday—very quick! Living in Ventura, and not wanting to ship items for $40 or drive hours to a large IKEA store, this has been my go-to when furnishing my home and my shop. A short 30 minute drive and I'm there. The staff is always friendly and more times than not will help me load items into my car. I know IKEA has been closing a lot of pickup and design stores, so I really hope this one sticks around.
I tried ordering from this store. 1st, the phone number is incorrect. 2nd they wouldn’t allow a small table to be picked up here. Instead, they wanted to charge me 40% to ship it to my house
This is from April 2025. This location can help with planning and pick up OR facilitate directions to deliver an order. The parking and traffic is tricky. Will need to plan a crew of people to help if heavy amounts of material. Very nice staff.
