If I could leave zero stars I would. My husband and I worked with Ikea to build our closet cabinets, laundry room, and pantry and had a great experience with the designers. We were told to pick a delivery date and we did. We were not moved into the home yet so we took the day off to ensure we were there for the delivery. I was lied to directly by one of the IKEA kitchen planners at the Georgetown, DC location. I asked several times before ordering if their kitchen sale occurred after I made the purchase ($5,000) could I get a rebate of the 10% off and was told YES. If the sale occurs within 90 days of my purchase, I will get the rebate. The sale started 30 days after I made my purchase, and IKEA will not rebate me the 10%. Bought countertops...no edging strips...called customer service 3 times...3 different people..eventually to only hear that I have to lug this heavy counter back to get a new box if I want the edging strips. First person told me the store said I could pick them up...got there and they had no clue what I was talking about. Second person said they'd send them from the warehouse to my home. We purchased a huge Ikea kitchen almost five years ago and the warranty is a joke. Our cabinets have chips, they have a mottled finish and Ikea won’t do anything. According to them those things aren’t covered. This is out third IKEA kitchens but it’s terrible and if it’s chips and finish gets ruined in 6 years then stay away from IKEA, don’t let the warranty fool you, there isn’t one
Reading the reviews is making me sick to my stomach! I feel so badly for everyone. Everything written here is absolutely accurate! I should've read these IKEA reviews before I spent $800 on kitchen cabinets!!! I had to cancel the order before it even shipped and now IKEA will not/has not refunded my money (for almost a month now)!
