The owner comes to my job everyday! The nicest man I know! He always caring and thoughtful.... He’s an absolute sweetheart! My assistant and I tried the fettuccine Alfredo and fell in love! I had an exhausting day very Frustrating day I finally got the time to sit and eat there and I love the atmosphere, amazing customer service, owner greet and Mingle with all his customers!!! he knows everyone by name first name. I recommend that everyone stop by and treat yourself with a positive experience!
The staff is extremely helpful and attentive. The marinara sauce and minestrone soup are great. I've never been disappointed.

This little place is a gem. You feel so comfortable as soon as you walk in. We tried many things from chicken Vesuvio to the lasagna, the salad was crisp and cold. I would recommend that everyone give this place a try.
the friendly atmosphere and great food
Whenever we have friends of family visit this is the first place we take them for dinner. The food is always amazing and the staff is super friendly. I would recommend paying attention to the specials. The menu is great but we almost always end up ordering one of the daily specials and have never been disappointed.
There are many ways to describe what is great about Ignotz--from the food to the ambiance, the feel, the people who work there --it is all simply excellent. When you walk down Oakley it is like entering another era--this restaurant is a special place that is steeped in a particular Chicago history, and is one that of course has high quality food that is made with heart. My favorite restaurant in Chicago by far.
I want to say thank you to everyone because it was my first time eating Italian. happy new year to each of you. I enjoyed myself food was so good and enough for me to have lunch for tomorrow
