old timer I have been recieving services in the Beechmont Location for 11 years. They have a huge staff, over 20 stylists or so. Be more understanding for your stylist! I have been a cosmetologist for 13 years now. I know the hustle and bustle of the world from within a salon, and let me tell you it's not always easy. I totally understand that people get impatient if they have to wait a little longer than their scheduled appointment, I do myself. But I think a lot of people misunderstand that a lot of the time it's not the stylist's fault! Not saying it never is, but a stylist usually needs at least 20-30 minutes to complete a haircut. awful GREEN hair! I started going to Identity in December 2009 wanting to try being a blonde from my naturally darker brown hair. Everything went great and I was a regular customer until July 2010 when I wanted to start transitioning back to my natural color (and a 45 minute wait for my scheduled appointment). Low lights were put in and it appear that my stylist, Amanda M., used an ash color after having previously used bleach on my hair. The result? Slightly green hair. Poor Service I waited over an hour for my hair appointment, checking at the front desk several times. Finally after an hour with no status update I went to the front desk and told them I was leaving. Why should I have to wait an hour for a scheduled appointment when I arrived promptly. I am very disappointed in the service and attention I received. My appointment was with Jeanette for 7:30 on Monday, Dec. 10th. at the Kenwood salon.
Ohio's Best! This salon is the best in ohio. I would recommended it to anyone. They have the friendliest staff. They are a full service salon and spa so they offer everything! From brow waxes to botox! from hair cuts to perms! They also aren't as pricey as some other salons around here. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
Love my stylist, NO love for Identity Been going to Identity Beechmont for two years. Love my stylist .. she is expert, accommodating, friendly and not pushy.. she is the only reason I go to this salon. Two beefs: 1) Cash Only Tips. It stinks that owners have opted not to allow customers to include a tip with credit card (CC) payment. I may be wrong, but I suspect this is a cost saving measure so the owners donât have to pay extra CC company fees. Most people do not carry cash or forget to carry cash on hair cut day. Identity is terrible. DO NOT trust them Do not rely on Identity for any beauty treatments. I had been going to this Kenwood location for over 4 years and was getting mediocre service. I felt "safe" to have my wedding hair done there along with some of my bridesmaids. Terrible mistake! Tamara decided to take a "walk-in" five minutes before my appointment the day of my wedding. Expensive, but worth it!!! Identity Salon and Spa is expensive, however, they are not as pricey as many of the other well-recognized spas in the area. I have gotten several packages from Identity as gifts, and their spa experience is phenomenal! I love the facials, massages and pedicures. The products they carry are great too. Their hair stylists don't seem to take much time or care and last time I came in to have my hair "styled" as part of a gift package, I got my hair washed and blow-dried straight. That's it. Long Time Customer that they treated bad. Will not go back EVER! Horrible!! I've been using Identity for over 8 years and every time it's been just OK nothing but the price is over the top. But it's close and I just kept going. Having said that I know when I walk in the receptionist takes your coat and get you something to drink. But not this time.
