Purchased first week of April 2023. My door came with a bad winding unit. I called and immediately got help from their customer service department. They shipped a replacement the next day. Spectacular customer service! Nothing but accolades for them! Thanks Jackie!!
Horrible customer service!!! buyers please be aware. Purchased our door in Sep of 2021. Original ship date was November. This was then pushed to December, yet again pushed to Jan 2022. Was told by Jackie our order was going to be shipped on Jan 19th and everything was being processed. My husband went to Menards to get our order and Ideal never sent our hardware. I'm on 5 and a half months and still no door. Only thing special about it, is that it's grey. They have missed 4 promise dates. They really don't have a very good business.
Love the door, Hate the customer service and support from IDEAL. Purchase a 16'x8" door thru Menards. Originally 5 panels now 4 -24" panels. Shipped with 12" radius rails! Must have 15" radius rails to function properly. IDEAL gave me no recourse "Its in the computer it must be right" attitude. Cost me an addition $180 for rails and 2x trips by my installer. Take your business else ware!
Only giving them 1 star because you can't give NO STARS. We ordered 2 garage doors in June 2021 and still no doors as of November 2021. Customer service said there is nothing they can do about it, but they would cancel if we wanted. Need these doors to close on our construction loan!!!<br /> <br /> <br />
Terrible doors. They started rusting after 3 years. They claim no warranty because it's " surface rust". Im not sure how rust forms on top of paint. It must be a special kind of rust that forms on paint. It couldn't be there lack of metal prep before painting. Unreal. Stear clear of there product.
Spoke with a gal named Kristin.. Unacceptable customer service; extensive delay in receiving my garage door then told her supervisor is too hi busy to talk to me and there’s nothing they can do but cancel the Oder if I’m not happy about it!
Do not trust them. I ordered complete DIY garage doors kit. In Menards. Salesman was very helpful advise to get everything what was necessary. How I could know then in my kit was't (what was ordered) reinforcing strut and this is most important part in garage doors. I install garage doors first time in my life. I install doors according the manual to the last part, but when I run opener it bends my top 2 panels. Ideal doors but manual IS NOT IDEAL.
