The address on IH10 is NOT the correct address for ICON. I tracked down their address on Loop 1604 and went there to hand deliver and important real estate document. At 1pm on a Friday, no one was there. Robert Stephan is arrogant and his company falls well short of my previous experience with property management.
Things that we noticed the only year we use them. 1. Everything is through email. 2. You have to stay on them about work orders. 3. We had to clean the house before moving in and mow the weeds (yes weeds because there was no grass in the back yard. They can charge you for weeds of course too). 4. We had 8 wasp nests and a birds nest on the house when we moved in. (They charge you to remove them but never remove them I guess) 5. I normally dont rate anyone, but this is a very frustrating company to rent from. Everything is a hassle. The latest issue: They have issues with the post office that they havent worked out which caused my rent be returned to sender. Icon refused to refund the late fees they charged me even after verifying that I sent the check in time to the right address. They won't verify that my next month's check has been received. They charge extra if I drop off the check at their office. They dont have electronic billing available. Th... read more
Absolutely the WORST company to rent from. They witheld $100.00 for a lightbulb and $225.00 because there was dust on ceiling fans and light switches were dirty. My husband pressure washed both porches, garage and all exterior windows. I washed every window inside. When we moved in air filter was filthy but we had to replace it. Grout was black.
