He is absolutely the best orthopedic surgeon for shoulder and knees and hips. He has so much compassion for his pt’s and will pray over you before every surgery. His wait time may be a bit longer but I would NOT trade him or his bedside manner for another one.
Dr. Whitney and Kelli are both amazing! Expect a long wait time because UT Health always overbooks expect to wait 1-2 hours. I don’t mind the waiting for a great doctor. He takes his time with you and answers all your questions.

I wait far too long to be seen. First, if your appointment is 1 pm it’s really 1:30pm as Dr Whitney pads it by 30 minutes. Next, Dr Whitney double and triple books his patients in his time slots. So you can wait 30-45 minutes in the front waiting area, then another 30-45 minutes in the back before being seen. It takes far too long and it’s unacceptable especially since I am the one that is paying for service, and it’s my time that is being disrespected and wasted. My wife and I were treated by Dr Whitney for shoulder injuries. He is very knowledgeable and articulate in his work ethics. Just an all-around kind man and very experienced in his profession. Results have been great!!!
