I stumbled upon these reviews of Dr.Stand while I was looking at other things on the internet. Because there are so many negative ones, I felt necessary to report my very positive experience. I have a rare condition that most ER docs know nothing about, Dr. Strand surprisingly was very educated about it and knew exactly how to deal with it. I appreciated his demeanor. He is completely unprofessional and rude. He asked me several inappropriate questions at the incorrect time. Then on top of that he got mad at me and threatened me and asked "do you want to go outside" . This was all heard by other staff members. I also overheard him speaking incredibly rude to another patient about her asking to make a phone call. I will be speaking directly with HR in person this week about this.

If there was a zero star option- That’d be it. Extremely Disrespectful ER Experience at St. Peter’s Hospital (Olympia, WA) My fiancé and I went to St. Peter’s ER recently after hearing good things — but what we experienced was the opposite. He was in serious pain and scared, only to be told by Dr. Ian Strand that we “don’t belong in the ER” because “they’re for gunshot wounds.” He actually asked if we looked like we had a gunshot wound.
