I was referred to Dr. Darcel shortly after moving to Canada ~1990, and he thanked my Family Doctor for sending him such an interesting case. (I had been declared a 'medical miracle' in 1977 after a colossal motorcycle accident left me with a dissected aorta and ruptured aortic valve, which took a 14-hour open-heart surgery to fix; and then had the prosthetic valve replaced 11 years later.) My husband is a patient and I think Dr Darcel is a terrific doctor. I know people who have been going to him for 30 years .
Dr Darcel was my husband's cardiologist for over 20 years. He was always very pleasant and kind. He never rushes a patient and takes the time to explain things and even to have a joke or two. I've seen him in action in the hospital also visiting his patients and again he never makes you feel he is in a hurry to rush off. Dr Darcel is a very experienced cardiologist that knows what he is doing. He puts your mind at rest so you know you are in great hands. Highly recommended.
