Lapiplasty surgery from 2023 caused pain in ball of my 2nd toe joint because 1st metatarsal bone was cut too short. Felt it 6 months after surgery. And big toe was never straightened. Now in 2025 needing to do revision surgery with a different podiatrist, and having lapiplasty hardware removed.
Dr. Burtenshaw was super nice and very professional. He is knowledgeable, sensitive, informative and I immediately felt at ease with my surgery after talking to him. He was very patient and understanding and he answered the millions of questions I had prior to and after my surgery. My injury was one of the scariest and hardest things I have ever had to deal with but I am very lucky to have had him as my surgeon as he made such a tough part in my life a whole lot easier! Forever thankful for doctors like him.
