Great Service
Called because AC went out and was not working. Tech came out and stated the transformer was blown and replaced it. Then he stated that the blower was out and the control board was likely fried. Quoted nearly 4k to replace board and blower or get a new furnace for $6.5k. He never even looked at the AC. He also charged $400 for a transformer. At the start of this past winter, I was having some issues with my furnace not kicking on. Called out another company for a service and got the furnace running however I was informed that during the service they discovered the unit was experiencing other issues related to the AC condenser leaking. After receiving several quotes from other HVAC companies that all seemed relatively high, I decided to postpone the replacement until spring. We hired Hytek to maintain our furnace/AC. Not satisfied, because of the following: 1) No written description of work was given until requested; 2) Cleaning was subpar, as evidenced by the attached photo. This was taken by another contractor we had to hire so as to do a more thorough job. Hytek did provide a 15% refund, and offer to send someone back. And our point person was cordial throughout. But at the end of the day, we would rather have not had to go through the logistical hassle of requesting the (partial) refund and ... read more
