I actually look forward to staying here at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero when I travel to SF on business, so much that I have stayed here on vacation as well. I like everything about this place - service, food, location, room size and decoration, cleanliness, amenities available in the room (coffee, hair dryer, etc.), working temperature control, beautiful views on any side of the hotel, walking distance to many fantastic SF spots. You hear so much noise between the room and out in the street at all hours which makes for a really unpleasant stay on business. The rooms are excellent, the decor is outstandign the service is awesome. Valet parking is a total rip off. be c areful and expect to pay a lot. Don't expect a good night sleep no matter what side of the hotel you stay on.

I am at the Hyatt Regency now and I have to say, I am impressed. The atrium inside is a brilliant sight, with long strings of grand lights running from the 14th floor down to the lobby. Away from the holidays when the lights come down, they have a fountain that draws the attention. The bar/lounge is in the atrium, in the center of all the action.
