A beautiful location in Monterey! The gardens and fireplaces inside and out with ample seating. Good breakfast buffet. Nice pool, hammocks, ping pong, and much more. The rooms were ok. There was a smell in our building. If you have mobility issues, they do have a golf cart to help get you to your room.
Hyatt Regency Monterey was my go-to retreat during the pandemic, and I recently returned with my younger son and his best friend. The front desk staff were friendly and professionally resolved a check-in issue. Even when I forgot my room key, the housekeeping team ensured security by verifying my ID before assisting me. When I got a bit lost around the property, the golf cart staff kindly gave me a ride. My kids had a great time enjoying the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay.
Monterey is a lovely part of the country and this is a great base for exploring it.
